Alyssa and Abraham were married at Reptacular Ranch, a 15 acre ranch nestled in the Angeles National Forest. Not only is the venue beautiful surrounded by trees and majestic mountains, but it also provides a unique setting that wedding guests are sure to remember. The ranch has over 400 animals, and a few that couples can invite to interact with them. It’s the perfect venue for animal enthusiasts. For Alyssa and Abe that meant a first look with Alyssa draped in a python as if it were a shall, and Abe holding an Asian Water Monitor (the second largest lizard in the world) on a leash. We loved seeing Abe’s reaction to not only his gorgeous bride, but also the snake she wore on her shoulders. This was unlike any first look we had shot before, and we had a blast!

When the python released his grip and the lizard went back to his home, Alyssa and Abe fell back into their natural, easy way with each other.  Our favorite moments were when Alyssa showed us her biggest smile. She crinkles her nose and you can see the quiet warmth and love for Abe radiating from her.

The ceremony was touching, and the setting was stunning. Guests sat on log benches, breathed in the fresh air, and got in touch with nature. The wedding party included a small pony who took on the role of ring bearer and successfully delivered the rings to the alter. It was a cute touch that had everyone smiling and again added to the qualities that make Reptacular Ranch such a good choice for a wedding venue.

After the ceremony Alyssa and Abe did a wardrobe change, switching into traditional Chinese wedding attire. Alyssa wore the Qipao—a long fitted dress. The color of emerald, with gold stitching, the dress was a perfect choice for her. She was radiant. Before re-joining their party, the newly Mr and Mrs took a stroll through the ranch checking out some of the animals and taking a moment to bask in their nuptials.

During cocktail hour, guests drank Boba, feasted from a delectable charcuterie board and visited the ranch’s petting zoo. When the couple made their grand entrance, they were welcomed with fireless fireworks as they made their way to the dance floor for their first dance. The guests enjoyed themselves, and danced under beautiful overhead lighting.
