Wedding planning can already be a stressful or feel like a full time job. Throw in Coronavirus worries and it’s an added stress you don’t need. That’s why we are doing every thing in our power to make sure you can rest easy when it comes to your photography package. Our stance toward all my COVID-19 policies remains compassionate, ethical, and responsible. Our clients come first, and we are striving to be flexible and easy to work with. Your health and wellbeing are our absolute TOP priority. We want to help ease your minds going forward, so you have one less thing to worry about at this time.

What we will do to help…

• We will be more flexible with postponements and cancelations than it states in our contracts, we have detailed this below.  
• We will wash our hands thoroughly before your wedding/photoshoot and avoid touching our faces.  
• We will use hand sanitizer frequently throughout the day/session.
• We will wear a mask during sessions/weddings. 
• We will not touch you; this includes that hug we usually love to go in for when we see you! Instead we will awkwardly but excitedly wave or pretend hug :)
• We will minimize our personal exposure to large events, crowded places and sick people leading up to your event.
• We will try to keep 6’ apart from you at all times unless. 
• We will be honest about our own health and travel schedule. 

CoronaVirus Tips & Advice

• Don’t panic! We’ll get through this!
• Be honest with others about your health and travel. Be honest with yourself. Now is not the time to pretend like you are healthy if you are feeling off. Stay home. Reschedule stuff.
• If you are getting married and have event insurance, check to see if your insurance covers anything impacted by the Coronavirus. A lot of insurance companies are sneaky and they will NOT cover stuff. It’s good to know in advance!
• Include creative COVID-19 precautions during your wedding. Find ways to be extra hygienic and make people feel safe. Cute hand sanitizers, hand-washing-stations, masks, or gloves for dancing. Maybe rent an extra-large dance floor, so people don’t have to be so close together. Space tables out more.
  
• Have guests who you worry can’t make it? Consider LiveStreaming your ceremony. This is a great way for your would-be guests to witness your wedding in real time. Check out our videography partner who offers this.All Because He Asked
• Be open to having a smaller wedding than you originally anticipated. It could be really special!
• Did you have your heart set on your current wedding date? Consider a small elopement at home, and move the big ceremony and party to a safer date.  No reason to wait another year to say “I do”if you are ready.  Deanne actually did this back when she got married. I got married in front of my family and friends in Hawaii, but eloped prior in an intimate ceremony at my parent’s home in California.  Both ceremonies were special for their own reasons. The big event in Hawaii was a blast and felt like our actual wedding day. We love photographing elopements and would be happy to talk to you about some ideas or how we can work it into your package.
• Communicate with vendors as much as possible if you are considering postponing your event. The worst thing is to cancel last minute! Most of our businesses will take a huge hit this year from the virus, so preparing for slower cash flow is essential. We are trying our best to help clients, but you can help us too by being super candid about everything!
  
• Remember, we are all in this together. We are all a little scared. We are all getting hit economically and worried about loved onesgetting sick. Be kind. Be understanding. It will go a long way!

Canceling your wedding due to Coronavirus

Don’t want to postpone your wedding and need to flat-out cancel due to the virus? We understand. Here are two options: If we can re-book your original date, we will refund the full deposit; or

We can give you credit toward a future photo session; or

ELOPE! You can have an intimate elopement somewhere in nature or at your home, away from the virus and others. You can keep your original date or change it to a new one that I have available, and we’ll transfer the deposit to the new date. We can adjust the package you already booked and create a new timeline.You can invite a smaller number of guests (or none!). We love elopements and have are happy to help you create a very special day.

What happens if we get sick before your wedding?

If we feel sick(cough, fever, body aches) before your wedding, we will inform you as soon as possible and ask how you would like to proceed. We vow to be honest with you about our own health so that you can make an educated decision about your event. Here are three options: 

• If you still want us document the event, we will wash my hands frequently, wear a mask, use hand sanitizer hourly, and avoid physical contact with guests. We can discuss exactly what would make you feel the most comfortable.
• If you want us to stay home, we will secure a talented associate replacement photographer to photograph the event our my place. We will still edit all your photos in our editing style. We will also give you a 10% discount off your total package to compensate for having a different photographer on the day of.
• If you want to find another photographer by yourself, we will refund you in full, minus any engagement sessions or work already rendered. I can also help you find a replacement photographer if you need one.
