We met Bianka and Skyler last year when we photographed Skyler’s mom’s wedding. When we met the pair we knew there would be wedding bells in their future.  Skyler and Bianka went to elementary school together, but didn't start dating until junior year of high school. Also having married my high school sweetheart, I love seeing couples who can stick together as they grow into adults, and then keep growing with each other through life.  Shooting Bianka and Skyler’s wedding was a true joy for us. Skyler has a contagious smile and Bianka is easy-going; together they make a beautiful couple.  In addition to spending the day with this lovely couple, we also got to see the familiar faces of their amazing family which made us even happier!

We met up with Bianka at a Dana Point, beachside VRBO for the getting ready photos. Amazing location—the perfect  pre-wedding day hangout, and post-wedding get-away, what a great idea! After enjoying the salty air and capturing the girls getting ready, we headed to the couple’s wedding venue to meet the guys.

The guys toasted the groom with tequila and played pool in the grooms suite while the girls helped Bianka with her final touches before she transformed into  a gorgeous and sexy bride. She wore a satin, strapless gown, with (our favorite part) a slit that showed off her her slim legs. She carried a full bouquet of roses in white, dusty rose and mauve.  

The Franciscan Gardens in San Juan Capistrano offered a perfect setting for Bianka and Skyler’s wedding. The elegant wooden gates, greenery, and twinkle lights make for a charming and romantic wedding venue. To make things even better the Historical San Juan Capistrano Mission is only a short walk from the venue which provides a perfect spot for Mr and Mrs portraits—just keep in mind when booking your wedding you need reservations and there is a fee, so plan accordingly.  We had a short window at the Mission but Skyler and Bianca were amazing. Despite never taking engagement photos with us they took to posing easily and naturally. We had so much fun walking through the Mission and capturing them in all the beautiful settings.
