Breezy + Kousei | Wedding

Tivoli Italian Villa | Fallbrook, CA

Wow what an amazing wedding. We met Breezy and Kousei during their engagement session at Table Rock Beach and we fell in love with them right away. They are an adorable couple—athletic, adventurous and so talented! Check out their reception center pieces in this wedding day blog. They actually made them, and they are gorgeous!

The pair married at an outdoor venue in Fallbrook, California. The Tivoli Italian Villa is perched atop olive and herb groves, surrounded by old growth orchards and mountain views. It’s tranquil, private and the perfect setting for a wedding.  The couple did an amazing job designing all the details, which complimented the venue’s rustic and romantic vibe. Adding to the already serene ceremony location they added ranunculus flowers to flank the aisle. In the reception space, a large courtyard/garden was set with long farm tables decorated with macrame table runners, vintage blue goblets, tall candles, small succulents, and to reflect Kousei's Japanese heritage an origami perched inside the place setting. Also, instead of numbers, each table had a sign with a Japanese symbol fitting to a wedding day--peace, love, happiness. Table assignments are a great way to personalize wedding day decor.

Prior to the ceremony Breezy and Kousei chose to do a first look followed by private vows. We love when couples do this. It’s a great way to slow down after the excitement of planning a wedding, and really be in the moment; taking in what the day is really all about—the couple's love for one another.

The wedding party kicked off the reception with an entertaining grand entrance. The bridesmaids choreographed a dance, and the groomsmen—all Kousei’s soccer mates, fittingly entered kicking around, and showing off their moves with an invisible soccer ball. Breezy and Kousei wowed everyone with their dance moves.  It was perfect; complete with dips, spins and expert steps!

The reception was filled with laughter including speeches, the cake cutting, and the Couple’s Video created by All Because He Asked Wedding Videography.

As the couple got ready for their cake cutting, they surprised us all when Kousei who is from Japan, traded out his tradition cake knife for a Samurai Sword!  Everyone was cheering and laughing as they used the sword to cut the cake and then feed each other with no fear of getting messy.

In another highlight of the night guests gathered around a projector on the dance floor to watch Breezy and Kousei’s Couple’s Video. The video had everyone in hysterics laughing at the documentary-style interviews of the bride and groom individually and their “Totally Realistic Re-enactments” of how they met. Jamie from All Because He Asked is creative and knows how to tell a story that really gets the audience to actively watch.

Enjoy our favorite photos from their special day! Breezy and Kousei, you are truly amazing, and we were honored to photograph your wedding day!
