Like many of our 2021 couples Danielle and Kurtis’ wedding was long awaited having been postponed from their original date in 2020. We were so happy to finally meet this couple in person and photograph their entertaining brunch wedding!
Danielle and Kurtis share a huge love for everything Disney! They live in Nevada, but enjoy making the trip out to California to visit the happiest place on earth. In a tribute to the Disney icon they each have a Mickey Mouse symbol on their wedding rings—his engraved on the inside, hers on the side of the ring below the diamond basket
Disney being a big part of their lives they knew getting married near the theme park at the Anaheim Hotel would be the perfect fit. With one of their favorite attractions—Disney Adventure’s Tower of Terror (now Guardians of the Galaxy), as their ceremony and reception backdrop the view could not have been more fitting!
The reception decor included beautiful white and green floral center pieces, and table numbers with silhouettes of their favorite Disney couples. At the start of the reception Danielle and Kurtis met on the dance floor like Cinderella and her Prince with a curtsey and a bow. Danielle glided beautifully in her tulle princess dress for their first dance; and we loved watching Kurtis and his mom during the mother/son dance. He is the youngest of 8 kids. His mom was clearly so proud and happy for her son. Parent dances never fail to make us tear up.
Following the toasts and brunch, instead of a dance party, guests had a great time playing an over sized connect four, competing in corn hole, and ping pong. They posed for Caricatures by Darci Herbold, and challenged the balloon artist to make all kinds of amazing creations from the Little Mermaid to Lilo & Stitch! Danielle also had fun being silly with her guests at their photo wall.
Ready to conclude their special day with a trip to Disneyland, Danielle and Kurtis did a bubble exit. Guests lined up on either side of them and blew bubbles as they walked. Being a beautiful sunny day, the light hit the bubbles and made them fill up with color. It was a beautiful, and a cheery way to end the party. The couple then changed into their Disneyland clothes complete with Mickey ears showing off their new last name, Snow.
We are so excited for Danielle and Kurtis and their future. We wish you all the best and hope we can catch up with you and your future kiddos one day at Disneyland!
