Doris and Mark were married at the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden in Pasadena with five guests in attendance, and many guests watching their momentous event via live stream. Their live stream produced by All Because He Asked Wedding Videography opened up with a beautiful drone shot sweeping into the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden and revealing their serene wedding venue. Their musician played the Pedal Steel Guitar further setting the blissful tone.

Mark started his walk to the alter, then paused to await his bride on the path. As he waited he overlooked the coy pond and his guests on the other side.  Soon after, Doris came up behind him for the reveal. Mark’s first look at his regal bride was filled with love and joy. After an embrace, radiant smiles and laughter, the couple continued on the path hand in hand. We loved this combination of first look and ceremony processional. We got a glimpse into a personal moment between the pair, yet it still felt very private.

The ceremony was simple and touching. The couple read their personal vows, and then poured glass color crystals from Unity In Glass into a vase. We love this ceremony and the stunning vase it becomes. Bride and Groom each have a container of glass crystals, each represents their separate lives, friends, and families. As the glass from each individual vase is blended together it symbolizes the joining of the couple's separate lives, friends and family, into one union, the beginning of their journey as husband and wife. This combined glass will then be taken by an artist and blown into a beautiful vase, never to be separated again, like the couple’s marriage.

We absolutely loved everything about this intimate wedding: The couple was always laughing and making one another smile; and the venue was gorgeous and full of history (originally created by Kinzuchi Fujii between 1935 – 1940 for Charles and Ellamae Storrier Stearns).
