There are infinite possibilities for your engagement session location. We usually start by asking our couples about their interests or if they have any locations which are special to them. For example, we once had a couple who had met by coincidence at the Standard in Hollywood, and so began their long-distance relationship that led to Happily Ever After. Hollywood being their common ground it was important to them to capture and relive some of their first memories. Another factor to consider is your wedding location . If you are getting married at the beach, maybe you want to take your engagement photos in a different setting so you have a wide variety of pictures when deciding what to print for your home.

For most choosing a location is all about the background and where they feel their most comfortable. The most popular settings we shoot at are the beach, city/urban look, or the park. One of our favorite spots for an engagement session is ElDorado East Regional Park in the City of Long Beach. We are by nature outdoorsy people. We love hiking and nature. El Dorado East Regional Park offers lots of beautiful backdrops. There are lakes, bridges and tons of trees. For those up for a little adventure or some laughs they even have an area called El Dorado Frontier where you can take a mile and a half train ride through the park, or check out the carousel.  Another huge plus about ElDorado East Regional Park is it’s HUGE, so avoiding people in the background is easy. This can be especially nice for couples who get nervous in front of the camera or around on-lookers.
