Muckenthaler Cultural Center Wedding, Fullerton

We feel honored and fortunate that we got to photograph the wedding of Hannah and Michael at the beautiful Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton. We met them only a short few months before their wedding, since their original photographer had to cancel. After chatting on a zoom call we knew we would love this couple! They are light-hearted, easy-going and full of love and laughter. Hannah and Michael are perfectly matched; we love seeing the way they look at one another and feel totally at ease in each other's company. The couple met their first year at the University of Michigan and have been together since their sophomore year!

The couple opted not to have “official" bridesmaids and groomsmen standing beside them during their vows; but they certainly had lots of friends supporting them the whole time—from getting ready to the end of the night. For Hannah she gave her girls a color palette and asked them to dress within those colors. They all looked beautiful and in sync. We love this laid-back option for wedding parties.

This was our first time shooting a wedding at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center and we hope to be back there soon! As a wedding venue The Muckenthaler Cultural Center offers broad lawns, period architecture, and the backdrop of a magnificent Spanish Colonial Revival style mansion built in 1925.  For the ceremony guests gathered in the garden, and the couple said their vows under an ornate wrought-iron gazebo. Next, guests moved to the Center Circle Courtyard and then the lawn, lit by twinkling lights which provided a beautiful glow in the dance photos! The sun was particularly gorgeous behind the couple as they entered the reception and had their first dance. Guests were served dinner by Colette’s Catering and then enjoyed dipping dots and an assortment of bundt cake options for desert.

Our favorite part of the wedding was the happiness on the dance floor! When we asked Michael if they and their friends are dancing kind of people, he shrugged which led us to believe it would be a mellow night. Boy were we mistaken! We don't think we have ever seen a dance floor stay so consistently packed as it did on this beautiful night!

Congratulations Hannah and Michael we wish you a lifetime of happiness and joy!
