I was happy to get Katies call to shoot her religious wedding ceremony. I have known Katie for several years now and she is a delight to be around. She is full of personality and adorable!  Her and Brandon make an amazing couple and have tons of fun together!

Katie met Brandon in 2016 on a dating site, and they were engaged October 2019. Like many 2020 weddings they had to jump several hoops before they could say their I do’s. They were married in October in a beautiful outdoor ceremony amongst their family and friends. It was perfect, but they also really wanted a religious ceremony. That said, Katie called us to shoot their vows at San Francisco Solano Catholic Church in Rancho Santa Margarita on December 19th.  The event was intimate and laid back. The guests included Katie and Brandon’s parents as well as Katie’s sister who flew in from Massachusetts. Katie was stunning in her lace gown, truly one of the prettiest wedding dresses we have seen, and absolutely made for her physic. A physical therapist and an ex-ice skater committed to staying fit she absolutely shined.

The ceremony was held just outside the church doors due to Covid restrictions. The Deacon was friendly and relaxed and the ceremony was full of laughs. Following their vows we were able to grab a few photos in the church in front of the beautiful red poinsettias setup for Christmas Mass.

This being their second time in front of the camera in a couple months, Katie and Brandon were up for anything, so they headed to Rancho Santa Margarita Lake to get some more portraits and let Danielle get creative! Danielle used to live in the area and loves the lake; its clean despite the many geese, and not too crowded.

We know Brandon is going to make an amazing husband! He already has a clear understanding of the saying “happy wife, happy life”. He told Danielle that while taking photos isn’t his favorite thing, he knows Katie loves it so he was prepared and there would be no complaints from him.  He held up to this, and we had a great time walking around the lake capturing their relationship and love!
