We felt so privileged to capture Kristi and Ben’s wedding at The Historic Cottage at San Clemente State Beach. They are truly one of the happiest, sweetest, most fun couples we have spent time with. Kristi has an infectious smile which you will notice right away when scrolling through our favorite photos from their wedding. Ben is funny and charming. Together the pair is always laughing.  

The bride and her wedding party got ready at the Volaré, a hotel in the charming down-town San Clemente. We loved Kristi’s choice of pajamas for her and her girls—and what a great idea to have the wedding date embroidered on her sleeve. While the girls primped the boys got ready at one of the groomsmen’s homes, always up for a laugh or a joke. I had a great time photographing them and seeing them ride off in their golf cart!  

Their wedding venue was a perfect fit for the laid-back couple. The Historic Cottage at San Clemente is quaint, with a 1930s vibe, white adobe walls and red spanish tile. The venue sits a short distance from the bluffs overlooking the ocean. Adding to the beauty, this year's rainfall left flowers blooming around the property, and yellow flowers lining the path to the edge of the bluffs.  The view was breathtaking and perfect for the couple’s first stroll as married couple.

Kristi stunned in her fitted, lace dress with a dipping neckline; and Ben looked handsome in his blue suit. When the couple made their grand entrance, everyone cheered and the party kicked off! Their first dance was perfect—sweet, fun and full of love. Guests were treated to a delicious dinner of freshly made tacos with homemade tortillas, and shrimp kabobs. After dinner and heart-felt speeches from Kristi's sister and Ben’s brother, it was time for the parent dances. Both Kristi and Ben danced with their moms and it was all smiles and loving exchanges of gratitude and admiration. Guests then joined the couple on the dance floor and everyone had a great time partying. When it was time to say goodbye, guests lined up on either side of the dance floor. They blew bubbles at Kerri and Ben, as the couple passed through the tunnel of friendly faces and well wishes.
