What an amazing, fun, chill couple! We had the best time photographing Kristi and Ben’s Engagement Session at Jeffrey Open Space Trail in Irvine. Kristi and Ben were relaxed and playful with one another. Ben was constantly making jokes and Krsiti was just so carefree and friendly. They way they support one another with small gestures is a clear sign to us how very in love, and perfectly matched they are! They felt like natural friends to us, whom we would love to hang out with!
In addition to meeting Kristi and Ben, we got to spend time with their beloved dog Kloe—a 13-year-old lab, chow, husky mix. Dogs can certainly bring a bit of crazy to a shoot, but we are always up for the challenge. The pay-off is worth it; they are part of the family after all! Kloe was a perfect dog. She was patient and a good model, especially when cohersed by some treats!
Kristi and Ben live by the beach and are getting married at the Historic Cottage at San Clemente State Beach, so we decided to pick a location for the engagement shoot with a different look. The Jeffrey Open Space Trail is a beautiful park in Irvine that gives an array of settings from a modern bridge, to a dried out rocky creek bed surrounded by trees. Kristi and Ben wore fall colors that worked perfectly with the location. The whole vibe of the shoot was easygoing and light hearted.
We truly can't wait to see this couple again at their wedding in April.
