We love shooting engagement sessions by the San Juan Train Tracks. Behind the tracks, a cute town is revealed with coffee shops, little cottages and even a petting zoo. It’s the perfect little area to stroll along the street hand in hand.
We chose to photograph their engagement session at Table Rock Beach in Laguna. A smaller beach, it’s usually not too crowded, and it provides unique backdrops with the beautiful rock formations and a stunning sunset. Breezy has surfed all of her life, and is now a surf instructor, so the beach was a perfect choice for the couple who feel right at home on the coast.
We met Kiley and Andrew for their engagement session at Manhattan Beach Pier. Not only is Manhattan Beach a beautiful beach for an engagement session, but even better, it was where Kiley and Andrew had their first date.
We had to rescheduled Alyssa and Abraham’s engagement session three times due to the uncommonly rainy weather. We were grateful when we finally got a sunny day and were able to meet the happy couple in person.
What an amazing, fun, chill couple! We had the best time photographing Kristi and Ben’s Engagement Session at Jeffrey Open Space Trail in Irvine. Kristi and Ben were relaxed and playful with one another.
The Jeffrey Open Space Trail in Irvine is one of our favorite Engagement session locations.
This engagement session was more than a 1-2 hour shoot for us, it was a vacation and a party! Jamie and I decided to travel to Connecticut for his family reunion. Over 80 family members got together for this week long adventure. Jamie’s cousin Megan and her fiance Cliff whose wedding we will be shooting next year were among those in attendance; so shooting their engagement session during our stay worked out perfectly!
We met Raina and Sonny at Victoria Beach in Laguna, on the first day of summer! Victoria Beach can be crowded, but being a Tuesday worked to our advantage! We could not have asked for more perfect California weather, even the tide was exactly where we wanted it. The sky stayed a beautiful blue until it turned into a gorgeous orange for sunset. Raina radiated beauty, glowing in her white dresses and giving us a glimpse into her upcoming wedding.
Brianna lives in Chicago, and Liam is in the Navy in Madison, WI; but, long distance is only a small hurdle for this adorable couple who met in college at Notre Dame. Bri and Liam will be married in February of 2023 at the California Yacht Club in Marina Del Rey.
Danielle and Candice taught together at a kid’s acting conservatory called Gary Spatz the Playground. When Candice got engaged Danielle was happy to reconnect! Candice and Kyle are getting married on at the Carondelet House in Los Angeles on December 22, so a beach engagement session was the perfect location to offer them variety.
Catherine and Connor met at the Sherman Oaks Galleria and had their first date at Dave & Busters. The date was eventful with Catherine losing her wallet and keys. Fortunately, they were returned at the end of the night which made the evening that much better. According to Catherine she had fun beating Connor at all the games, but of course Connor has his own version of the story!
Nickee is from Ohio; David is from Los Angeles. Once married the couple has decided they will make the move and start their life together in Ohio where there can be closer to Nickee’s family. With that in mind the pair decided they wanted to take their engagement photos in a location that would remind them of their time in Los Angeles and how beautiful it is.
There are infinite possibilities for your engagement session location. We usually start by asking our couples about their interests or if they have any locations which are special to them. One of our favorite spots for an engagement session is ElDorado East Regional Park in the City of Long Beach.
We met Jon and Cheryl for their engagement session at Vista Hermosa Park in LosAngeles. They are such a friendly couple, full of smiles and the perfect match.
Stephanie and Peter met at the pool of the Standard Hotel in Hollywood, spent the rest of Peter’s vacation together, and dove right into their relationship! We know Stephanie found a keeper with Peter because he wakes up at 4am everyday to chat with her from England—that’s love and commitment!
We had a blast getting to know and shooting Jen and Bill’s engagement photos in San Diego. They both love to argue, but they agree to keep things civil and prove a little debating keeps their relationship fun! We have to agree they are the perfect fit and we all had plenty of laughs!
We love Engagement shoots; they provide us the perfect opportunity to get to know a couple and for them to get to know us. Kellen and Chris are a beautiful, easy-going couple with lots of chemistry! We shot their photos at Victoria Beach in Laguna. The spot offers a cool Rapunzel like castle, and gorgeous green algae covered tide pools—all around a gorgeous backdrop!
What a wonderful engagement shoot. We were a bit worried with it being the day before Easter the beach would be crowded. However it ended up being perfect! I am so blessed to get to meet and spend time with such wonderful people that really love one another. Jakeb was tired from working at The Fire Station and yet he never complained or even gave any air of wanting to be done.
I had a wonderful time taking Cathy and Adam’s engagement photos! The couple traveled out to San Diego for a short visit to finalize some details for their September wedding. It turned out to be the perfect opportunity to snag their engagement photos, and I couldn’t have asked for better weather!
When Kate first reached out to me about her June 29th wedding in Temecula we hit it off immediately. Our conversation flowed easily and I felt like I was chatting with an old friend. Kate and Daniel recently moved to Northern California for work, but still have family in Los Angeles.
Rachel and Keith were nervous about taking engagement photos. They were feeling a bit camera shy and weren’t sure an engagement session was necessary. I encourage all my clients to take engagement photos for many reasons. It’s the perfect way for the couple and the photographer to get to know each other.
Summer in Santa Monica is always bustling with tourists, but that didn’t stop us from getting amazing photos. The weather was beautiful and I had a great time shooting Sara and Jay! Sara has a gorgeous smile and is extremely photogenic; and Jay is so in love with her that it was easy to capture many sweet moments between them.
